5th December 2009

As decided by last weeks poll (and myself), the next game will be released just before christmas and will involve what you get up too at your yuletide office party.

There will be too main 'dates' involved, your secretary and your boss.

The new game will also be played a bit differently. Rather than the methodical system of gaining points in certain areas, I will be focusing on creating an interactive storyline where decisions you make will have various affects later on during the five hour party. i.e. Spiking the punch bowl might get everyone at the party drunk quicker, but may also make a rival male employee also with his eye on your secretary a bit more confident. Basically, I can see this one working more like the Crystal date, but with elements of the others.

As stated above, this game will also be the first to occasionally pit you against someone else, so watch out.

There will be at least four endings to the game, and a very, very rough guess at a release date will be Wednesday December 23rd.

3rd November Update

This coming weekend will see a new date added to the site.

Although the Latricia date functioned effectively, I was never happy using using the engine to create it. It can be a little confusing at times and the amount of bugs I had to solve before I released it was heavy. It was therefore my intention to convert it to the more usual cookie based engine, adding much more content and many more endings along the way.

This presented another set of problems. Basically, the storyline was very arkward to adapt.

I therefore decided to move in another quick direction. There will be a new date for you to play with. Her game will abuse all the areas I was never able to use for Latricia. This means I can get the images for her locations put together very quickly. Since it would be a shame to waste such a cute character, Latricia herself will also feature in it for at least one ending.

The character preview can be seen in the new 'coming soon' section of the site. The story will also feel much more fantasy based this time : she's the count's daughter who you've been instructed to woo.

28th Sept 2009

Four weeks today since the last one, so here's a quick update to let regular visiters know what's going on.

The fantasy date isn't finished yet. It's progressing well, but I'm trying to make it a large one with lots if replay value and around seven different endings. I wouldn't expect it to be done for at least two more weeks.

I was hoping to get a second expansion mod for the ArianeB game done and released this weekend in order to keep people satisfied, but there's a major bug yet to resolve. If I can figure it out, I'll upload it this week.

01st Sept 2009

Well, now that Erica, Leilani and Kelly are out of the way, I think it's time to advance to the next level of game style in the same way I advanced after Crystal (Although I will occasionally continue to expand and fix the three girls). After creating an expansion pack for theArianeB game, I'm confident that I can use alot of the mechanics to create something much more reliable for players (I'm aware that the cookies currently used can be hard to control).

One thing that I believe I will be changing for at least one date is the setting. Rather than sticking to the modern theme, I'm going to try a game with a fantasy setting. This will have a number of advantages ;

- More locations. In order to deliver new games and not have them take forever, I borrow alot of background images from mainstream computer games (mainly the hitman series). Different settings means many more places and situations.
- One awkward problem has always been avoiding too many similarities to the ArianeB game. Changing the setting will help.
- I've been wanting money to be a factor in these games for a while now. A budget of ten gold coins will be easier to manage than $100.

I'll post up some further details at a later time.

On an extra note some of you might be interested to hear that a friend of mine has gotten interested in what I'm doing and is looking into doing something similar. I'm not too sure exactly what he's aiming for but he seems determined and if it amounts to anything I'll post a link.

My apologies for not updating the blog for a while. There just didn't seem much of a need to do so since the site explained everything.

The Kelly date will definitely be coming this week. It will be around 45 mb and contain two endings (with the possibilty of more being added later, as always). Although the mechanics work similar to the previous games, I have tried to add a few new ways of doing things which I hope will be popular.

21st July Update

Just a quick post to let everyone know, the update with the new graphics is indeed still coming and will be online either thursday or friday.

The main reason for the delay is because I'm reorganising the site by doing things such as dividing the different girl's dates into different downloads. It's pointless to have them all bunched together, and it's easier to upgrade them all if they're seperate so it's what I'll be doing from now on.

If the site is temprarily down for a while in the next few days, this is why. Just give it a few hours and it'll be back.

14th July Update

A small blog post just to let players know that there will be a large game update this week. It's debatable at this point if there will be any new activities, the important change being the graphics.

As some might be aware, I spent alot of time last week experimenting with different renders for different models. The graphics are now much more improved, and since I had already replaced most of the Erica pictures as tests, I thought I might as well finish her entire game.

So you can see what I mean, here is the original style compared to the much clearer new one.

27th June Update

No real update to speak of, but in case players hadn't noticed I felt I should point out that the better version of VDG with bug fixes for Leilani is applied to the online version.

An online playable version of Virtually Date Crystal has also been added to the site for those who have difficulty downloading the games.

The game Virtual Date Girls has been updated, most notably with the Leilani dates now avaliable.

Just so you know, there are four endings to find. There were going to be five, but I removed one due to techincal issues. The reason I mention this is because there are some images that will not appear in game, but downloaders may find in the folders (meeting Crystal and Rachel in the bar for instance). These will be implimented in the next release.

Note that there are also two versions avaliable now, one best suited for the two main browsers. If you have issues with either-

a)Close your browser and open it again. Everything will be reset.
b)Make sure you have upgraded to the latest version.

16th June 2009

Just a general update.

The new update will indeed be up this weekend as intended, probably friday. It will include one new date, Leilani, which will be about the same size as Erica's from the last release. There will also be bug fixes concerning the coding, so any players who have had browser based issues should enjoy this release more.

I think the ultimate intention is to have 5 girls for VDG volume one, then eventually adance to a volume 2. Each volume upgrade will have some changes in how the game works. I'm already playing with ;
- money, might be an interesting element for the date if I can get it working, allowing multiple visits to stores but still with restrictions (could also win more at casinos etc).
-Flash. I like the sex/reward scenes in this, but I think I could do better. Loading up an interactive flash sequence just for this bit rather than switching between three looping GIFs might be the way to go.

After Leilani, the next date added will be Kelly. I'm not too sure after that as I've ran out of models/outfits/props and need to buy some more (although with money I don't have. Daz models can be annoyingly expensive when you add up all the parts to buy) . I'm sure I can find the money somewhere though.

I have added a more thorough walkthrough to the site for those of you trying to find all the endings. I think it will be a regular thing to release the guide one week after each game update.

Updates look like they will be happening once every three weeks. The Leilani date will be added next in about a fortnight's time (it may be sooner however, and/or I may release some Erica additions).

Quickly put together an upgraded version of the main game.

Bugs corrected

- A few dialogues in the wrong places
- Error at the Leisure Center which resulted in blank page
- An invisible error at the intro bar where the game registered you having a drink if you didn't (probably why some people keep finding Erica passed out in the nightclub)

Both online and downloadable versions are fixed.

A fairly quick update just to keep those anxious ones of you informed.

The new game is now finished and I am now working on putting together the full site in terms of content, and putting together a downloadable version of VDG (the default is to make an online version and then convert it).

The full site will definatly be up tomorrow, probably midday.

First of all, for clarification purposes, I'm afraid there will not be a new game online this weekend. Nothing's wrong, it's just that I feel a minor Virtually Date Crystal update isnt worth launching the main site with, and I'd rather finish the Virtual Date Girls game and get it out a little sooner.

The new game will probably be online Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. I'm still working out alot of the details for two of the dates, so what I'll do is include the full Erica segment (the redhead), and include smaller demos of the other two girls (Crystal and the blonde). You'll meet them for drinks etc, but it won't really go anywhere, whereas Erica will go, well, everywhere.

Fuller versions of the other two date possibilities will be released a week or so later, after which, if all goes well, I'll be adding more situations for them, as well as adding new dates.

The new version of the date game is going very well, but as a slight bad news, I doubt it will be finished by the weekend. This could be said to be good news however, due to the reason...

Before I got started on constructing the new version, I took alot of time out to work on how it should, well, work. As a result, I ended up with a useful system of setting and reading variables that I could expand into the entire game. Unlike Virtually Date Crystal, which pretty much worked as a maze with lots of dead ends, the new one works on what you could call a simple game engine. There is much more emphasis on replayability.

The point is, the new game is much easier for me to put together, and so I'm adding as much content as possible for the release. As well as the new dates with Erica, there will new dates with Crystal, and even some with the Blonde you may have noticed on the site.

Hopfeully it'll all go well and people will like what I've done.

As I stated in my last post, I may release an updated version of the original Crystal for the weekend, but I'll have to see. It still might be possible for me to finish the new one instead.

If there's one useful way to keep the currently thousands of viewers a day to my site informated, I thought it would be a blog, and so, here we are.

First of all, the all new revised version of the game is still coming. The reason it has taken so long is that I've been trying to come up with a slightly better engine for the game to run with, as well as something slightly more unique. The original reason for making this was to do with how much fun I had playing the ArianeB dating game, followed by discovering the lack of similar games avaliable on the web. This is why, despite some gameplay differences, Virtually Date Crystal is what some have accurately refered to as an Ariane 'clone'.

The new game system now works a little differently. It uses a combination of Javascript and cookies to control the various situations. The player's choices of what to do are divided into verbal and physical. The images are now a little larger. A personal favorite is the player's ability to input their name, which the date then says in conversation. It's a little touch, but it makes a big difference.

Finally, the full site is now moving to something with alot more bandwidth ability and versatility (at least from my web publishing perpective). You'll find the new game at

I'll hopefully have something up there by the weekend. If by thursday it looks like I'm not going to finish, I'll probably throw together an expanded version of VDC with a couple of extra scenarios.
